Are you ready for your next adventure?

Would you like to leave behind the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy a beachside lifestyle?

A sought after opportunity exists for a new/ recent graduate or an experienced veterinarian to join this privately-owned, 4-vet practice on a permanent basis.

New graduate - $58k going up to $65k p.a. plus super after 6 months;

Experienced vet - $65k to $110k p.a. plus super, plus fuel card (also available for personal use).

The privately-owned practice is located in a coastal town on the mid-west coast of Western Australia. The area boasts fantastic beaches with plenty of good fishing and camping spots close by. There are good surf beaches, and the windsurfing is considered some of the best in Australia. The city centre has everything you need including good shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

The position offers a friendly and supportive work environment.

The successful applicant will enjoy a good work-life balance, working a four-day week, 1:4 weekends and no after hours.

Weekend shifts:

Saturday, 9 am - 1 pm;

Sundays, 9 am - 11 am.

Equipment at the practice includes a new ultrasound machine, digital processor, dental equipment, endoscope, and pulse oximeter.

This employer is willing to assist with visas, including the Permanent Residency Visa (186 Visa).

This is a 100% small animal role. However, the practice also sees the occasional wildlife case (anything from birds, blue-tongued lizards, and some kangaroos).

12/11/19 Feedback provided by a 2016 graduate: I started as a new graduate veterinarian at this practice and continued working there for 19 months. Working at this practice exceeded my expectations. The entire staff was always extremely supportive great to work with. The more experienced vets were willing to take to coach me and the owners were great to work for and always promoted a positive work/ life balance.

This position was an excellent start to my career and gave me an amount of experience that my colleagues working in larger cities did not receive. I thoroughly enjoyed my working at his practice and would recommend it to any veterinarian.

12/11/19 Feedback provided by a 2018 graduate: My time at this practice has been as enjoyable as it has been rewarding! The staff are very supportive and progressive. As a new graduate I found the standard of care was similar to that we were taught in university and management are very open to new ideas and concepts. The nursing staff are really fantastic and their experience supported me through a few tricky cases on more than one occasion. The varied and exciting caseload was ideal for a new graduate veterinarian and has pushed my knowledge and skills forward immensely.
