Do you enjoy equine work but find it difficult to get a work/life balance?

Do you like small animal work but do not want to leave the freedom of being outside in the fresh air?

An established veterinary practice on the Channel Islands requires a vet who has experience in equine work but also enjoys practising quality small animal medicine and surgery.

Accommodation is likely to be available for 3 to 6 months.

This opportunity will provide you with the facilities to completely work up your own cases and be part of a team that needs support in equine ambulatory work. There is the advantage of a 1 in 8 on-call rota and support by Certificate Holders in both equine and small animal subjects.

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or other relevant qualification and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner.

The position would suit someone who is motivated and would like to develop their career. The practice is located in a beautiful, safe area. The region offers numerous sporting and leisure activities.

It is a great place to bring up a family, with many professional people relocating to the island where they find mutual support as working parents.

A competitive salary and package await an enthusiastic candidate.

Work permit provided.

Privately owned practice.

This is a progressive practice, employing several certificate holders. The practice provides their clients with superior quality care utilising excellent facilities. These include the latest CT scanner and hydrotherapy facilities and all the usual diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including laser treatment. The practice aims to provide a good life/work balance so that everyone can enjoy life in this wonderful location.

The practice is located on one of the beautiful Channel Islands; the islands are sprinkled across the narrow channel of sea that divides France and the UK. All of the islands offer gorgeous, dramatic coastlines and are rich in history. There is a surprising range of birds and subtropical flora to discover. There is also an abundance of fresh seafood and glimpses of traditional British lifestyle that some say have faded from the mainland. The islands are easy to access via plane or ferry, with good connections from England and France.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a stunning location!
