A well-equipped practice in the south of England is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic veterinarian to support their farm clients.
This is a unique and flexible role available for a farm vet with a passion for proactive livestock health and welfare and sustainable food production.
The farm side of the practice looks after cattle, mostly beef, as well as breeding ewes. Goats, camelids and backyard chickens are also regularly treated, as well as the occasional pig.
The practice currently employs 16 vets with a wide variety of specialisms. If you have a passion for exotics, the team are happy to accommodate.
The practice is in a 48 month TB testing parish, and are currently training an ATT, so time can be spent on clinical work with very little routine testing. Out of hours is currently a quiet 1 in 4 rota, with a regular roster of a 3 or 4 day work week.
Both experienced vets and recent graduates with a minimum of 6 months’ experience are welcome to apply.
Sponsorship (work permit) is considered for overseas applicants.
The area offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, surfing, sailing and biking on the doorstep. London can be reached in less than two hours.
