A position has become available for a veterinarian to join a large multi-vet at a mixed practice in the Southern Tablelands region.
The caseload consists of 75% small animals and 25% large animal. The large animal work includes a mix of both pastoral and dedicated hobby farmers and equine clients.
Vets at the practice are very well supported, with a dedicated nurse for each vet as well as numerous other support staff, allowing the team to provide high standards of care. There is also the option to refer to specialists and referral hospitals as needed.
The practice is accredited as a Skilled Mental Health First Aid workplace and is also a Lincoln Accredited Employer of Choice! The practice places a strong focus on work-life balance with flexible working hours. The position can be full or part-time. On-call is evenly shared (currently 1:7). All after-hours calls are assessed through an after-hours triage service.
Vets are encouraged to develop further, both personally and professionally, with a generous CPD allowance & VIN membership. The employer will also cover the cost of your Veterinary Board Registration and radiation license.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia. Relocation assistance is available for overseas applicants.
