Do you have the desire to practice high-quality medicine and surgery? Perhaps you have a strong interest in continuing education? Would you like to live in a beautiful area with many national parks, wetlands, walking trails, camping spots, and wineries and restaurants to explore?

A well-established mixed practice in a picturesque area of South Australia is seeking a vet to join their team of five full time vets and one part-time vet.

The team sees a great medical and surgical caseload, with the option to learn and undertake orthopaedics if desired. The team aim to create a fun and friendly atmosphere with a collaborative environment and a focus on training and personal and professional development.

In addition to a generous salary, the practice will also cover the cost of the following:

-Vet Surgeons Board Registration

-Environment Protection Authority Radiation License

-Australian Veterinary Association membership

-Continuing education

The practice will also provide assistance with relocation, accommodation and a car for when you first move to the area to help you settle in!

For those interested, partnership prospects may be a possibility.

The modern, purpose-built hospital is housed with state-of-the-art facilities and diagnostic equipment, including a new ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscope, ECG, IDEXX machine and more! There are surgical theatres, a large treatment room and a dedicated diagnostic imaging suite.

On-call is shared equally, with two days off after a weekend on-call. Nurses are rostered to be available should vets require extra assistance after-hours. Medechat takes after-hours calls, so vets are only called if they are required to come in.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The area is a great place to live and work and is an easy 2.5-hour drive from Adelaide.
