LOCATION: South West Victoria

TYPE OF WORK: Large Animal/Mixed Practice

HOURS: Full Time

SALARY: Commensurate with experience

JOB NO: 212,118LH2

A practice in a vibrant town of regional Victoria is seeking a veterinarian to join their close-knit, friendly team.

Although this position is for a production animal veterinarian, those seeking a mixed practice role are also encouraged to apply.

You will be joining a friendly, multi-vet team who value family and a good social life. Vets at the practice have varying levels of experience, from graduates to 20+ years. The team are passionate and dedicated with a variety of special interests. There are multiple vets rostered on each day, allowing plenty of support from your colleagues and the opportunity to collaborate. Vets are supported by a Farm Services Manager, as well as supportive and professional administrative staff and nurses.

The caseload is varied and interesting, as expected at a regional practice. The practice sees a growing client base within the dairy and export industry.

Ideally, the role will be full time. The successful applicant will work four days per week, with an equal share of after-hours, however, if your availability differs from the above, the practice would still love to hear from you, as positions can be tailored to suit.

The position would be well suited to those with good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team. The practice is seeking a friendly vet who is a good fit for their dynamic team.

Benefits of the role include:

– Above award remuneration

– Fully resourced, established clinic

– Company vehicle for work and personal use

– Supportive and highly experienced staff

– Assistance with accommodation and relocation

– Generous CPD allowance

– Paid subscriptions to Vet Education, CVE & VIN

– AVA membership, state registration & radiation licence paid for.

The clinic is well-equipped and offers a full suite of production animal services along with all the tools, toys and equipment vets require to practice the best care.

This position combines being part of a high-quality production animal service with the lifestyle of a medium-sized rural town, with the added benefit of sea-side proximity! The practice is located in regional Victoria. The area is a hub for exploring the historic district and also for visiting further. It is a great choice for those considering making the change from a big city lifestyle to regional living.
