An experienced, full-time veterinary nurse is required to join a privately owned practice in Sydney’s south.

You will be joining a team of six vets and seven nurses. The practice employs two dedicated receptionists, so this position will involve predominantly nursing duties.

You will be working in a state-of-the-art facility designed with both pets and the team in mind. There are separate waiting areas and consulting rooms for dogs and cats, ensuring a calm and comfortable environment for all patients. The dedicated cat and dog wards provide specialised care, and the spacious staff room offers a private retreat for breaks. There are large windows providing plenty of light so you will feel energised during your shifts. The hospital features two advanced surgery rooms equipped for laparoscopic procedures, as well as a dedicated room for digital x-ray and ultrasound imaging.
Additionally, the facility includes a dedicated dental station equipped with dental x-rays and an isolation area to ensure the safety and comfort of patients needing special attention. The hospital also has IDEXX diagnostic machines.

Candidate Requirements
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary nurse, demonstrating a strong foundation in animal care.
– Certification in Level 4 Nursing (Cert IV or equivalent) is required.
– Proficiency in clinical nursing skills, including but not limited to anaesthesia, surgical assistance, and patient monitoring.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
– A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing exceptional care to our furry patients.
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners.
