An opportunity has become available for a nurse to join a team of highly experienced vets and vet nurses committed to delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

At the hospital, nurses are encouraged to undertake as much clinical nursing as possible. Nurses often place IVs, take/run bloods, perform x-rays and carry out nurse consults and intensive nursing of patients such as tick paralysis and snake bite cases. There is a remote reception team, allowing nurses to focus on their patients.

The practice is locally owned and operated by employers who support their staff on a personal and professional level.

The busy hospital sees a wide and varied caseload. Complex cases are kept in-house as much as possible to ensure patient continuity. Mobile specialists visit the hospital throughout the week.

The ideal candidate will be qualified, experienced and willing to share their knowledge and skills with others.

The successful nurse will join a warm, tight-knit, friendly team who look out for one another like family. The leadership team place a focus on making sure the staff enjoy their work and find balance in what they do.

On offer is a flexible role with full time hours. With regular salary reviews, the salary can increase to well above award. CPD is encouraged and funded, with internal and external options available.

Beachside accommodation is available, as it is additional remuneration for attending to inpatients after-hours (if desired).

Sponsorship considered for suitably qualified overseas veterinary nurses who could start on a Working Holiday visa.

The hospital is incredibly well-equipped and is growing rapidly. Equipment at this state-of-the-art hospital includes a full IDEXX laboratory suite, dental radiography, Smartflow electronic patient monitoring, state-of-the-art ultrasound and DR x-ray facilities, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery suite, ICU facilities, capnography, ECG, doppler and NIBP. With new toys being added frequently, this ensures the team can continue to provide the highest standards of care to clients and patients.

Located approximately 1 hour north of Sydney's CBD and only a stone's throw from fabulous beaches! There are many award-winning restaurants, hotels and bars in the immediate vicinity.
