A growing, award-winning clinic in a beachside suburb of Sydney is looking for a Veterinary Nurse to join their close-knit team.

Applicants must be qualified (Cert IV or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years paid full-time vet nursing experience.

The role on offer is permanent part-time, with a minimum of 15 hours per week required. There is ample room to increase your hours, as well as fill for staff vacation days, personal leave, and during peak times. Working arrangements can be flexible and tailored to suit the right candidate. No after-hours or public holidays are required.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting veterinarians in medicine and surgery

- Confidently practicing all clinical aspects of veterinary nursing, including induction and monitoring of anaesthetics

- Performing nurse consultations and providing client education on preventative health and wellness topics

- Organising and overseeing the smooth daily flow of procedure list and appointment schedule

- Assisting with reception and administration as required

The practice sees visiting specialists, in turn, allowing for orthopaedics, more complex surgeries and case workups.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm, and Sundays 10 am to 2 pm. Weekends are mostly consulting.

The practice is fully equipped with dedicated consultation, hospitalisation and surgery rooms, digital x-ray, IM3 dental machine, dental radiography, in-house IDEXX, anaesthetic monitoring equipment, blood pressure and eye pressure measuring equipment, IV pumps and advanced surgery equipment, assisting vets in providing gold standards of care to all your clients and their pets!

The practice is situated in Southern Sydney, close to the beach, making it ideal for pre/post work swims, surf, coastal walks and general beach lifestyle! The family-friendly area boasts stunning scenic views, cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and good transport links into the city.
