Vet Nurse Position in Melbourne - 209,218ZS

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced vet nurse in ECC to lead a dedicated nursing team in a well-equipped Melbourne Hospital. The successful applicant must be able to work a variety of day shifts over the week, with one evening shift per fortnight.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing leadership and expertise in the workplace

- Managing the consistent standards of the ECC department

- Undertaking annual performance reviews

- Being a role model through effective communication and behaviour

- Supervising and mentoring nurses

- Ensuring effective teamwork within the work environment

Candidates are required to have a Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Nursing or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. A minimum of 5 years of experience is strongly desired, as well as a minimum of 2 years of leadership and management experience.

The practice is extremely well-equipped, with a CT scanner, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, x-ray, electrocardiogram, tonopen IOP, cryopen, doppler, SurgiVet monitoring equipment and more.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates.
