This practice requires a proactive, qualified Vet Technician/Nurse to support their farm and companion animal veterinarians with a range of tasks.
These include calf debudding, blood sampling, capsuling, vaccinations, animal weighing and seasonal jobs, as well as providing general and surgical nursing assistance for their growing companion animal service.
The role can be physically demanding, so the employer is looking for a positive, physically fit person who can work well under pressure, and with good animal handling skills, especially with cattle. Ideally, you will have either a BVTech degree or a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
The successful applicant will be required to contact clients to schedule the work, so you will need to be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to interact positively with the clients.
