Are you looking to work in a genuinely mixed practice that provides a very high level of care to its patients and offers best-practice options?
An exciting opportunity is available for a veterinary nurse to join this privately-owned country practice on a permanent basis.
Join a large modern practice with small and large animal facilities. The practice currently employs eight vets and twelve vet nurses.
New graduate and experienced nurses are welcome to apply. The role is full-time. Applicants must have a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, or the equivalent to this that is recognised in Australia.
The mix of work is variable; however, the caseload is roughly 60% small animal, 30% equine and 10% sheep, cattle, alpacas and goats. Experience with mixed practice nursing is not required. Training and support will be provided.
Nurses will have the opportunity to perform high-end nursing duties such as placing IV catheters, anaesthetic monitoring, blood collection, dental prophy and other practical skills. There will be a mix of surgical nursing and reception duties.
The practice is extremely well-equipped with digital x-ray, Surgivet monitoring and an IM3 dental machine and is computerised with OpenVPMS.
The practice is located in a scenic country town less than two hours from Perth. The town offers the usual amenities, such as schools, hospitals, restaurants, shopping areas and country pubs.
