Due to practice growth, an independently owned, high-quality practice in Melbourne’s southeast is seeking an experienced vet nurse to join their dynamic and close-knit team on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified vet nurse (Cert IV or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience. The practice is looking for someone excited to take their nursing career to the next level.
In this role, you can expect:
– One-on-one mentoring from senior nurses and vets.
– Opportunities to work and collaborate with visiting specialists.
– Access to technical training and professional development opportunities.
– Exposure to a diverse caseload, including cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, and wildlife.
The practice offers a competitive salary, career development opportunities, and a healthy work-life balance. Team engagement is fostered through daily group huddles, weekly meetings, and offsite team alignment days.
Full-time nurses at the clinic work 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, plus 1:3 Saturdays. A weekday off in lieu is provided for working Saturday shifts. There are no after-hours duties or Sunday work.
There may be occasional shifts at the practice’s sister clinic, which is 20 minutes away.
If you’re passionate about using your nursing expertise to support a forward-thinking clinic and make a meaningful impact on small animals and their owners, this is the role for you!
Enjoy a nurturing work environment that allows you to realise your full potential:
– An environment in which everyone has a voice and opportunity to have a real input on how the clinic grows and operates
– A healthy work culture founded on the values of Growth, Trust, Respect, and Professionalism
– A supportive team of like-minded professionals for whom this is a passion, not ‘just a job’
– Regular check-ins and meetings ensure your ideas are heard
The practice opened its doors in 2023 and, within the first 8 months, garnered exceptional reviews from the community due to the enthusiasm and dedication of its staff.
The clinic is located in a southeastern suburb of Melbourne, just a 45-minute drive from the CBD. The area offers a blend of urban convenience and rural charm, with easy access to parks, wineries, and the picturesque Mornington Peninsula.
