Opportunity awaits!
Seeing a pet owner's face light up when you walk out to reunite them with their once sick pet... It's a buzz, right?
That's the type of vet nurse this practice is looking for.
They require another vet nurse for their small animal veterinary hospital.
For them, being a successful vet nurse is all about care and connection. To connect and cultivate great owner/pet relationships for the betterment of the pets' wellbeing.
It is an exciting time for the practice, as they are just about to embark on major renovations, creating an even more inviting home for clients and pets, alongside delivering the spacious, bright clinical areas for staff to perform best in (alongside a large relaxing space!). The team would like to employ a nurse to join in on this exciting journey as they make the transition.
Perhaps you have many years of vet nursing experience under your belt, and you want to mentor and share your experience. For the right person, a lead vet nurse position will be considered.
The employer will cover your VNCA membership. CPD is always strongly encouraged.
And of course, if you have the skills, you deserve to be remunerated above award rates.
About you:
- You will be a great communicator
- The position requires confident veterinary nursing skills
- Demonstrate strong anaesthetic management skills
- You should possess a clear mind for detail and organization
- You must have a proven ability to follow a process and deliver tasks on time.
- You should be someone who is prepared to step forward and make a real contribution and complement this devoted team.
- Possess Certificate IV in veterinary nursing (or equivalent)
You will be supported with modern equipment to enable you to deliver the health care that the clients expect.
A little bit more about the role:
- Your time will be split between medical nursing, surgical nursing and nursing in the consulting room.
- Great news! There is minimal reception work as dedicated customer care staff members handle this.
- Hours are approximately 35-38 hours per week. The role involves working a Saturday on rotation 1 in 3.
- There are no after-hours, so you know when you are off; it's real downtime.
