Would you like to work in one of Western Australia's most beautiful coastal locations?

A predominantly small animal practice is seeking a veterinarian to join their 5 vet team. There is the opportunity to see some wildlife and exotic cases.

New/recent graduates and experienced vets are welcome to apply.

About you:

- Dedicated to providing high-quality care.

- Outgoing and keen to be a part of a close-knit team.

- Strong communication skills.

- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The practice strives to provide the highest veterinary care to its patients and clients. A high surgical caseload makes this an ideal opportunity for those wishing to expand or continue to practice in both soft tissue and a range of orthopaedic surgeries (predominantly fracture and cruciate repairs).

An after-hours service is provided by the practice, which results in a wide range of interesting emergency cases.

Short-term accommodation and relocation support is available if required.

What's on offer:

- 37.5 hour working week (the hours are flexible)

- Afterhours, 1 night/week and 1 in 4 weekends. AH pay is in addition to the salary package.

- Ongoing opportunity for further education and CPD events.

- Competitive salary package.

- Shared consultation and surgical caseload.

The practice provides a supportive work environment to all staff. There are two mental health first aid officers, and management has undertaken additional courses in mental health support and burnout preparedness certifications. There are regular organised social activities throughout the year, and a work-life balance is strongly encouraged for all staff.

The practice is modern and well-equipped with 3 consultation rooms, a surgical theatre, a generous treatment room, cat and dog hospital wards, isolation, radiology, and ultrasonography. Their in-house laboratory was recently upgraded to allow for CBC/Biochem, blood gas, coags and urinalysis to be run all in-house.

The area is famous for its stunning coastline, long white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. It offers a great relaxed lifestyle for those wanting to escape the hustle of busy city life.

Vets from overseas are welcome to apply. The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
