An exciting opportunity has opened for a full time vet director to lead a long-established veterinary team in Tasmania.
The position would suit a mixed or companion animal veterinarian keen to work in a small animal environment.
The successful vet will join a warm and welcoming team. Vets are supported by a strong team of qualified and registered vet nurses and trainees. There is a 1:2 vet to support staff ratio. The team pride themselves on working collaboratively, being approachable and sharing resources and skills.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing, training, and mentoring veterinary associates and nursing staff, while also being actively involved in hands-on veterinary care. Working alongside a skilled clinical team and a dedicated business support team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring excellence in both medical standards and client experience.

The ideal candidate:
– A qualified veterinarian with 4+ years’ experience
– Demonstrated mentoring and management capabilities

The practice is equipped with all the modern resources, including in-house pathology, digital radiography and ultrasonography, to mention a few.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
