A practice just south of Sydney is offering a unique opportunity for a veterinarian to join their team in either a GP or GP and emergency role.

You will become part of a multi-vet team with decades of experience and a stellar reputation within the community. This is a passionate and supportive team of veterinarians and support staff who share your dedication to animal care. Collaboration and camaraderie are at the heart of the practice.

This opportunity is best suited to a veterinarian with a minimum of one year’s post-graduation experience who is comfortable consulting, diagnosing and treating companion animals with autonomy while still being fully supported by a large team of experienced vets and nurses. There is no sole charge required.

Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you will be empowered to manage cases with collaboration and mentoring both to and from your colleagues and on-hand advice from the practice’s network of specialists.

The practice handles a wide range of cases, from routine check-ups to complex surgeries. This diversity will challenge you, help you hone your skills, and ensure each day is exciting. The client base seeks the best veterinary care for their pets and supports the team in doing the required workup and diagnostic testing required.

This recently renovated state-of-the-art facility boasts 9 spacious consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards, CT imaging, DR radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, ICU, 3 surgery rooms, dedicated dental and endoscopy room, Tonovet, plus in-house pathology equipment and in-house orthopaedic equipment for advanced procedures. The employers have invested in the latest technologies and equipment to ensure that their veterinarians have the tools they need to provide the best care possible.

The employers encourage collaboration to achieve the best patient and team outcomes. The team’s wellness is a top priority, and the practice runs an effective schedule to ensure everyone has a proper lunch break. They provide exemplary continuing education programs, 5 weeks annual & study leave (pro rata), and mental health first aid courses to the team.

You can choose from AVA membership fees or state Veterinary Board registration costs to be covered each year, along with complimentary VIN membership. Extra perks and benefits include generous discounts with many retailers and health care providers, such as novated car leasing, private health and travel insurance, optical, furniture and fashion retailers, hotels, holidays, events and groceries.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

This role offers a desirable work-life balance, and the area is an ideal place to live, with access to beaches, parks, rainforests, and wineries. All less than an hours’ drive from Sydney!
