A position has become available for a veterinarian with a passion for animal welfare and an interest in sports medicine.

Main duties include desexing, dentals, treatment of injuries, rehabilitation and general health checks.

The shelter is a purpose built premises, located west of Brisbane. The facility has 53 indoor heated and air-conditioned kennels, 14 outdoor runs and a fully equipped clinic with a medical block and quarantine kennels.

The team consists of an on-site manager, 2 vets and dedicated support staff of kennel hands and nurses.

The ideal candidate will work full time, 5 days a week, however, part time hours will also be considered.

Applicants must hold a current driver's licence.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
