A bustling, privately-owned small animal practice in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West has a vacancy for an experienced veterinarian.
The role can be either full or part-time. A full-time vet would usually work 4 days a week and a share of weekends.
The team sees an interesting caseload, and clients are well-resourced and deeply invested in their pets.
The successful candidate will join a team of four vets (Two full-time and two part-time = 2.5 FTE), which is well supported by a dedicated and skilled team of nurses. The practice sees regular visiting specialists for surgery and ultrasonography. The employer places focus on staff harmony in the workplace.
The practice is seeking a professional, experienced vet with excellent client service skills and competency in all aspects of general practice. Applicants must have a can-do attitude, the ability to manage time well and maintain good relationships with both clients and staff.
Candidates should have a commitment to continuing education, and permanent vets receive one week of study leave per year plus an allowance.
The practice works with a number of local charities, providing care to the street cat population. As well as this, the practice is striving to achieve Silver Level Cat-Friendly status.
The practice is fully equipped with IDEXX Catalyst, Lasercyte, Cornerstone software, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, iM3 dentistry suite, capnography, Doppler BP, Bair Hugger and more.
Sponsorship (work permit) considered for overseas vets who can start on a Working Holiday Visa. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The practice is located in Sydney’s Inner West, close to the city. The area has great public transport links, parks, cafes & restaurants – just 8km from the CBD.
