A new position has become available at a practice in Cheshire.

This is a friendly and forward-thinking practice with modern facilities, a fantastic client base and a strong team ethos. They are currently seeking a small animal vet to join them.

This full-time role includes a weekend and bank holiday rota to support local small animal practices in the area.

The clinic’s confident vets and nurses enjoy their work and strive for excellence. They have a wide range of equipment, including digital radiography, a new ultrasound machine, a full in-house laboratory, and dental equipment. The practice has a strong connection with its referral hospital, and you will have access to the in-house referral hospital and OOH team.

The employer is looking for a professional and motivated individual interested in joining their team, either a recent graduate seeking to develop their skills or an experienced vet looking for a new challenge.

You will spend your time split between consults and surgery, and there may be some sole-charge responsibilities.

On offer for the successful applicant is a salary of up to £65,000 for experienced vets, 6.6 weeks of holiday entitlement including bank holidays, a workplace pension scheme, reimbursement of RCVS membership, and VDS cover.

The practice provides a CPD allowance of £1750 (increasing for certificate holders), funded certificates, and strong encouragement to pursue them. They also offer enhanced sick, parental leave, Buy/Sell Holiday, and cycle-to-work schemes, employee discounts for your pets and a Healthshield wellbeing programme.

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or other relevant qualification and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner.

The practice is located in a small town in the heart of Cheshire, England, and it has a lot to offer. There are many historical attractions, a thriving food and drink scene, and regular markets, and it has a strong sense of community, with many local events and activities throughout the year. The area is known for its beautiful countryside and picturesque towns and villages. The town is also just a short distance from Manchester and Liverpool, making it an ideal base for exploring the wider area.
