A 6-month position providing maternity leave cover has become available from mid April at a boutique, privately owned practice in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

The successful applicant will work four days a week plus 1:4 Saturdays for an average of 35 hours per week. No Sundays, public holidays or after-hours are required.

The multi-vet team is a close-knit group that support one another, working cohesively towards the goal of doing the best they can for their patients (while having a bit of fun along the way)!

The team pride themselves on offering longstanding clients gold standards of care using up-to-date equipment. The team also practice low-stress handling and are working towards becoming a Fear Free Certified Practice.

The role would suit an experienced vet who is a warm, friendly and personable team player. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment while practising gold-standard care and confidentially working up cases. Applicants should be skilled in general surgery.

Continuing education is strongly encouraged to ensure the team stay up to date with best practice.

Equipment at the practice includes digital x-ray (general & dental), ultrasound, endoscope, PRP, dental machine, panoptic & tonopen, in-house pathology, comprehensive general anaesthetic monitoring assisted by capnography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, doppler, app- alert and manual monitoring.
