A veterinarian is required to join a family-owned and operated small animal clinic in Far North Queensland. The team at this practice see an interesting and diverse medical and surgical caseload.

The practice currently employs 8 vets, 12 nurses and reception staff. They are a friendly and relaxed team, yet have a highly professional work environment. The clinic is purpose-built with all the bells and whistles. It has AVA Veterinary Hospital Accreditation and they host specialist visits throughout the year, allowing exposure to areas of advanced practice. They also do daily rounds and have monthly vet meetings focused on in-house training.
The clientele are excellent and allow vets to work up and treat cases at a high standard leading to great job satisfaction.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

– Permanent role with competitive salary and package in line with experience;
– 4 day working week (designated weekly RDO);
– Sharing of on-call and weekend duties. On average one night a week, and 1 in 3 weekends, with industry leading after hours remuneration;
