A practice in Central Queensland is seeking a vet to join the team. This is a special opportunity for the right person, one that doesn't come around all that often.

You will be joining a growing three-vet clinic that is looking for its next superstar!

Whether you love mixed practice or just want to focus on small animals, the position would be perfect for you if:

- You love variety in your days, an even spread of consulting, medicine and surgery work within the clinic, and the added bonus of cattle and horse work if that's your thing?

- You like to be paid an amazing salary

- You are truly seeking a good work-life balance. Business hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday and 8:30 am - 11:30 am on Saturdays (1:3). No after-hours required!

- You have a thirst for knowledge and continuing education

- You enjoy clients that enable you to work up cases where financial constraints are uncommon

- You desire a country lifestyle with the added bonus of being just an hour from the beach and the airport.

If you want something better, then what's holding you back?

Here's what makes this offer so good!

- 4.5 day work week (permanent, full time)

- 5 weeks annual leave

- Excellent salary

- Allocated CPD budget

- No after hours

- Opportunities like these don't come along in this clinic very often

Sounds amazing? Then read on…

The practice sees a true mix of large and small animals. The large animal work is 50% cattle and 50% horses. This is a chance to join a practice where you can undertake either 50/50 large and small animal OR 100% small animal, with the option of pursuing a special interest in any field.

This opportunity is for someone who doesn't necessarily have to have an abundance of industry experience, but rather someone who has a passion for being a veterinarian and embraces a rural lifestyle.

The team is cohesive, well-trained and has a can do attitude. The potential to upskill and give everything a go will be limited only by your imagination.

The employer has clear motives to:

- Lead a team that provides high-quality and well-rounded service to the local community

- Create a workplace that staff truly enjoy, in turn making it somewhere they want to come and work every day

- Compensate staff generously

- Work-life balance is essential

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is located in a rural town in central QLD. On your days off, you can reach the beach in about 90 minutes or explore the national park nearby.
