– Join a warm, welcoming, talented and highly supportive team.
– An ideal opportunity to provide best-practice clinical veterinary care.
– Great team dynamic with leadership closely attuned to work-life balance.
Are you looking for a great environment to work in? Do you want to enjoy coming to work and be part of a positive team culture that values you and your wellbeing?
A practice in a beautiful northern coastal suburb of Brisbane is seeking another vet to join their awesome team!
This is an ideal career opportunity offering the prospect of genuine work-life balance in an ideal lifestyle location.
The practice is an independently owned, long established vet surgery that is well respected in the community.
The team is made up of 3 vets with a mixture of experience and is supported by an experienced nursing team. Nurses work hard to make the day run as smoothly as possible and are hands-on in assisting the vets with cases.
The team pride themselves on creating a friendly and welcoming clinic environment and takes the time to get to know the families and their pets, offering 20-minute consults. They genuinely feel the clinic is a lovely place to come to work and enjoy sharing successes as a team. The team celebrate achievements, discuss challenges and always strive to support each other.
About the role:
– Small Animal only.
– Four day work week (two full days and two half days) with a shared rotating Saturday roster and same day off per week. The employer is open to all options that make the position great for both parties.
– Staff discounts.
– Salary is above the Award, based on experience and negotiable for the right candidate
– Clinic hours are 8 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am – 12 pm on Saturdays.
– No after hours, public holidays or Sundays. All emergencies are referred to nearby hospitals.
– Professional Development – $1000 allocated to CPD.
– A well-equipped clinic with digital radiology, ultrasound, a full in-house laboratory (including Idexx Catalyst one, Catalyst urine analysis machine, iM3 dental equipment and the necessary anaesthetic monitoring equipment).
– No KPI’s – the employer trusts vets to use their own judgement to treat patients and their families to the best of their ability.
The ideal vet for the role will enjoy the challenge of general practice and be comfortable going from vaccinations to working up more complex cases to routine surgery. Applicants should have an enthusiasm for offering excellent patient care and client experiences and be positive and friendly while making an effort to work with the team.
Some shifts may be sole charge so you must be reasonably comfortable consulting on your own. Candidates should possess excellent organisational and time management skills, including high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks within a busy work schedule.
The role would suit a vet who values everyone’s wellbeing and continues to promote a positive clinic environment, envisioning a long-term future with the clinic with the desire to grow together.
