A mixed practice on the edge of the North York Moors is seeking a farm animal vet to join the team.

The fun and friendly team is made up of over 20 vets and 16 RVNs/RVNs spanning across three practices. The practice has a range of experienced colleagues, including certificate holders, previous new graduates and vets that have been with them for many years. The practice is very social, with a strong, supportive, and welcoming team.

This farm animal role would suit an experienced farm vet who is committed to providing an excellent service to a varied client base and who wishes to take on more responsibility in driving the success of these clients and that of the farm team.

From large progressive dairy herds and pro-active suckler and sheep units to traditional family farms and smallholders, the work is varied and engaging, with plenty of opportunity to develop and grow areas of interest. TB testing would not be a large part of the role.

A position would see the successful vet working alongside a stable team of experienced vets, including sheep CertAVP holders.

The role would be full time 4 days per week (8.30am - 5pm) plus 1:4 OOH rota. Part-time and flexible working options available.

The ideal vet will be dynamic and passionate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should be driven and be happy to work as part of a close and friendly team.

Vets have access to all of the usual equipment, with the employer continually investing to make sure the team can work to a high standard. The employer is very keen to develop the team and believes in investing in skills and progression, including support and funding for certificates and further qualifications

The package includes:

- Salary between £34,000 and £65,000 p.a. for a full-time role depending on experience.
