A great opportunity has become available for a veterinarian to join a 7-vet privately owned, AVA accredited practice in rural South Australia. New/recent graduates are welcome to apply.

The practices sees an interesting and varied small animal caseload, and they do most of their own surgery, including orthopaedics. If desired, the large animal work consists of pleasure horses, dairy/beef cattle and sheep accreditation work.

Working hours consist of a 4-day week and shared after-hours. This practice offers a generous 5-weeks annual leave and 1-week study leave per year.

The successful candidate will receive fantastic support from multiple senior vets in a friendly team environment with a high nurse to vet ratio. Continuing education is encouraged, and there are regular staff meetings.

The practice is modern, purpose-built and has recently been renovated. There are four consulting rooms, and a large, well-equipped surgery. Equipment at the practice includes IDEXX machine, two ultrasounds (one portable), digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, Cardell patient monitor (with blood pressure monitoring), Synthes orthopaedic equipment, endoscope, pulse oximeter, TonoVet and Apalert.

Located only 50 minutes from Adelaide, the area is known for its beautiful natural landscapes, and laid-back country feel. For the adventurers, water sports are extremely popular, including skiing, cruising, fishing, kayaking and jet skiing.
