A small animal veterinarian is required to join an expanding, dynamic, modern and community-minded veterinary team close to the New South Wales/Victoria border.

This position is open to new graduates and experienced vets. For experienced applicants, the position is flexible to be either full or part-time. The ideal applicant will be a good positive team player with a great work ethic and personality.

The successful veterinarian will be given the use of a company vehicle and accommodation options. Further study is encouraged, and one week of paid study leave per year is provided, along with five weeks' paid annual leave.

A full-time role will involve working a four-day week with 12 weekends per calendar year (6 hours on Saturday, 3 hours on Sunday). After-hours are minimal and involve one night on call per week and one weekend per month.

You will be joining an experienced four-vet team, one vet with their memberships in feline medicine. There are also several specialists who are affiliated with and visit the practice. Vets are supported by nine experienced nurses.

This purpose-built hospital features:

- Visiting and quiet rooms as well as lovely outdoor areas for dogs, cats and staff

- Comprehensive in-house Idexx lab and The latest in Rx works software

- Current application for Radioactive iodine treatment for cats

- Hydrotherapy and underwater treadmill for physiotherapy for dogs

- Separate dog and cat wards, treatment rooms and theatres

- The latest in imaging with new ultrasound machine and a 16-slice GE Brightspeed CT

- Digital x-ray including IM3 dental X-ray

- Separate fully equipped dental hospital and Full endoscopy suite

- An enclosed outdoor consulting area to assist dogs fearful of entering inside!

Sponsorship (work permit) is available for experienced overseas vets.

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
