A large, multi-vet practice on the New South Wales South Coast is looking for a vet to join the team on a full or part-time basis!
The mix of work is flexible, and the position can be tailored to your interests. Overall, the practice caseload is approximately 50% small animal, including some exotics and wildlife, 30% cattle (predominantly dairy with some beef) and 20% equine. Vets interested in only small or large animal work, as well as those wanting a mixed practice role, are also welcome to apply.
The hospital is purpose-built and modern. It is equipped with digital radiology, small and large animal ultrasounds, full IDEXX in-house laboratory, endoscopy, ECG, excellent anaesthetic monitoring equipment, dental machines, IV fluid pumps, equine dental power floats, and is computerised with Rx Works. There are also on-site large animal facilities, including stables, round-yard and horse porta-stocks.
The practice also has a very experienced exotics and wildlife vet who visits the practice regularly to see patients. This is a great learning opportunity for vets who are interested.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The practice is located close to the pristine beaches and communities of the Sapphire Coast, offering a relaxed beachside lifestyle with all facilities, services and an abundance of recreational pursuits at a fraction of the cost of the major cities.
