A five-vet (3.5 FTE) small animal practice in a beautiful coastal area of South Australia welcomes applications from experienced vets.

Ideally, this position is to work full-time; however, the practice are also interested in receiving applications from those wanting to work part-time. Start date is flexible.

The practice is LGBTQIA+ friendly, family-friendly, and diverse in age and experience. The small but dynamic team ensures they care for each other and laugh a lot.

This busy practice sees a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. The vets perform a broad range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries. The caseload includes dogs, cats, wildlife and the occasional pocket pet. There is the option to refer complicated cases to specialists in Adelaide.

After-hours are very minimal, and as the practice is phasing this out, after-hours work is completely optional for the new vet.

The practice owners are dedicated to personal growth and professional development and are going through the Lead to Succeed Program with the Lincoln Institute. They also provide all their vets with a Leading Edge subscription with the Lincoln Institute and AVA membership. The nurses are very well trained and regularly undertake continuing education.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
