JOB NO: 221,391SB2

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a veterinarian to join the team at a busy multi-site practice in Cheshire. This is a first-opinion RCVS accredited practice.

This full-time role will require 2 to 3 days per week based at one branch, working closely with the senior vet and head nurse with added support from the practice coordinator. You will also work alongside a newly qualified graduate, so if you are a VETGDP advisor or willing to do the training, that would be a great advantage.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work 1 or 2 days (depending on working patterns) at a sister practice, giving you access to a different caseload and equipment for your cases, and shared knowledge of working with other vets in the team.

In your new role, you will work either a 4 or 4.5-day week (9 days over a 2-week period) and take part in a weekend rota. The rota involves working 1:4 Saturdays and 1:12 Sundays, plus some support on the bank holiday rota.

The growing team is experienced, and with a diverse medical and surgical caseload, whether it is routine surgery, medical workups or more advanced cases, there is never a dull day.

This is a recognised ISFM-accredited cat-friendly practice, with separate cat and dog waiting areas and kennel facilities, aiming to minimise feline stress. Following a recent full refurbishment, the impressive facilities include a clean corridor with 3 operating theatres (with DR X-ray in orthopaedic theatre), ultrasound suite, x-ray, and dental room.

The salary will be between £38,669 and £55,790 per annum, depending upon experience and additional qualifications.

Benefits include:

– 6.6 weeks holiday entitlement, including bank holidays

– Workplace pension scheme

– RCVS membership reimbursed and VDS cover

– CPD allowance of £1750 (this would increase for a certificate holder)

– Certificates funded and strongly encouraged

– Enhanced sick, parental leave, Buy/Sell Holiday, and cycle to work scheme

– Staff discounts for your pets

– Healthshield wellbeing program

– Life Insurance 1x Salary

– Volunteering Leave 1x day paid each year

– In-house referral hospital and OOH team

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or other relevant qualification and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner.
