An exciting new position has become available for a small animal veterinarian at a three-vet hospital in Sydney’s Hills District.
Due to fast growth, the employer is looking for a friendly and compassionate team player to join their close-knit working family, including the veterinary team and support staff.
This is a permanent part-time role to work approximately 30 hours per week, including one in four weekends.
The practice sees a dynamic and diverse caseload, including general consulting and surgery, advanced surgery, including BOAS, TPLO etc, rehab and exotics. The employers are happy to support vets’ areas of interest, such as exotics, orthopaedics and rehab.
Working at this brand new hospital, you will have access to all the toys, including full Idexx suite, digital radiology, dental radiology, new im3 machines, ultrasound, orthopaedic equipment, PennHip, and access to CT at our sister clinic 10mins away. There is also a budget for extra equipment as needed. The practice runs on RxWorks and Smartflow operating systems with in-consult AI note-taking technology to reduce vet admin time. There is a high vet-to-nurse ratio.
The clinic also houses a rehabilitation centre which includes an underwater treadmill, class IV laser, tens and physiotherapists.
The right candidate for this role will be competent in general consulting and general surgical procedures. Rehabilitation experience is advantageous but not essential. Ideally, you will have a minimum of four years’ experience and be capable of doing some sole charge work.
In addition, you will have great communication skills and the ability to build client relationships. You will be motivated to progress and improve as an individual and within your team, striving for gold-standard care for all patients and clients.
