A friendly, fun and diverse team of professionals is looking for a part-time vet to join the team at their family-owned inner west practice in Sydney.

The part-time position involves working 78 hours per month (every Monday, every other Tuesday and one full weekend in four). There is also a requirement to work two public holidays per year. Other shifts may become available (holiday cover, etc).

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, work well within a team and have a good ability to train junior staff and nurses. Applicants should be confident in common soft-tissue surgery, dentistry and routine emergencies such as stitch-ups, bite wounds and toxicity ingestions.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced, skilled staff. The practice also sees visiting specialists to assist with advanced imagining and also have access to orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgeons. Vets have access to approachable and friendly management who are always happy to hear ideas on how the practice can improve.

No sole charge required.

CPD is encouraged and supported with regular CPD events with specialists and paid study leave.

This is an A-class hospital with all the mod cons, including CT scanner, full-in-house IDEXX lab, digital x-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound and full surgical facilities. The practice is computerised with RX works.

The practice is located in the inner-western suburbs of Sydney, just 15 minutes from the CBD. The area is accessible by both train and bus, and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and parks nearby.
