A well-established small animal practice in a beachside suburb of Melbourne is seeking a caring and enthusiastic veterinarian to join the team.
This permanent part-time role is available for 2 to 3 days per week, with additional Saturdays. The roster is flexible and designed to support genuine work-life balance, with a daily mix of consulting and surgery.
This friendly and experienced team has been caring for local pets and supporting their families for more than 35 years. The practice has a warm, collaborative culture where pets, clients and staff are all valued. The successful applicant will join a close-knit team that is committed to high-quality patient care and enjoys working together in a positive, supportive environment.
The hospital is well equipped with an in-house laboratory suite, digital radiography, ultrasound, a dedicated operating theatre, and separate cat and dog wards.
The role would suit a veterinarian with at least three years of general practice experience who enjoys building rapport with clients, working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to a high standard of care.
Applicants should hold a BVSc or equivalent and be eligible for registration to practise in Victoria. Strong organisational and communication skills, a flexible and adaptable approach, and a genuine love of animals will be highly regarded.
The role offers flexible work options, a competitive industry-leading salary package, a unique bonus/equity opportunity with a 10% cash bonus paid at the end of three years, paid Veterinary Board Registration, radiation licence and VIN membership on a pro-rata basis, generous CPD allowance and paid study leave.
The successful applicant will also have access to online learning, ongoing training, mentorship and dedicated vet programs. Additional benefits include paid parental leave, paid ‘purrental leave’ for furry family members, novated vehicle leasing options, access to an Employee Assistance Program, a generous team member referral bonus, and the support of a workplace certified as a Great Place to Work and accredited as a Skilled Mental Health First Aid workplace.
This relaxed, family-friendly beachside suburb in south-east Melbourne offers long sandy beaches, extensive foreshore reserves and a pier, while still providing convenient access to the Melbourne CBD and the Mornington Peninsula. It is a great location for someone who enjoys coastal living, weekend walks by the water, local cafés and an easy connection to one of Victoria’s most popular lifestyle regions.
