JOB NO: 211,304SB2

A position has become available for a veterinarian at a busy, rural practice in beautiful Oxfordshire.

The team’s mission is to provide their patients with the best medical and surgical care and their clients with friendly, compassionate, and honest service.

The practice has well-bonded clients and a good local reputation. Cost is rarely an issue with the clients, and this allows the vet team to provide the best care to their patients.

The nursing team is experienced, and the practice has all the standard equipment, including in-house lab, x-ray, ultrasound and a Class IV K-laser, so they are not afraid to tackle complex soft tissue surgeries and routine orthopaedics and are happy to work up cases. That said, there are also excellent referral practices close by.

This is a part-time role. The employer is open to discussing various working patterns in order to find something that works for you.

The practice opening hours are 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays. There is no out-of-hours work, as the practice outsources this.

Benefits of the role include:

– 6.6 weeks paid holiday, including Bank Holidays (pro rata)

– Health Shield

– Life insurance

– RCVS Membership paid, as well as two other membership subscriptions

– Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, and surrogacy pay

– Discounted veterinary fees

– My Perks – offers, discounts and cashback on shopping, travel, entertainment, and much more

– £1750 pro rata CPD allowance, with 5 paid CPD days (pro rata)

– Focus on employee wellbeing

– Career progression opportunities

The practice is located within easy travelling distance of the City of Oxford, hence good rail links to the entire country and Europe.
