An enthusiastic new graduate vet is required to join the friendly and supportive team at a well-established, privately-owned practice in Sydney's south-west.

The successful candidate will be fully supported by the family-like team. There is an excellent caseload providing the opportunity to develop both your surgical and medical skills. The practice owner has memberships in medicine and is also a very capable surgeon in both soft-tissue and some orthopaedic procedures.

Feedback from a vet who started at the practice as a new graduate:

The senior vets are very supportive and will always be available to answer your questions. The practice owner will even come in on her days off if there are emergency procedures you require help with. We see mainly cats and dogs with the occasional rabbit consult. There is the usual range of medical cases. We also do work with a rescue group and therefore do a lot of neutering but also get the chance to work up some very interesting feline cases. The practice owner is amazing with soft tissue surgery and will always be keen to let you have a go, with guidance. We do get very busy, but the nurses are great, experienced and happy to help. We are definitely a small work family! There is a great café next door that does good coffee and food for lunch.

The clinic is closed on Sundays, and no after-hours are required making for a great work-life balance.

The clinic is well-equipped with digital x-ray, in-house IDEXX pathology, ultrasound, IM3 dental, pulse ox, blood pressure monitor and more!

The practice has a low staff turnover, with most having been there for many years.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible to register with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of New South Wales.

The practice is located just under an hour west of the Sydney CBD, in a great neighbourhood close to parklands and shopping centres.
