Are you interested in working in a mixed rural practice while still enjoying the benefits of living near a large inland city?

Do you have enthusiasm, ideas and passion to bring to a receptive and supportive team?

An opportunity for a new/recent graduate has become available at a privately-owned practice in rural Queensland.

This position could see you becoming the next vet in this 7-vet supportive, forward-thinking and motivated team.

The position on offer is a full-time equine-focused mixed practice role that will afford you the opportunity to broaden your skill set with support from senior clinicians and surgeons. Duties involve a range of responsibilities, including lameness, medicine, anaesthetics, minor surgeries and ambulatory callouts. Bovine and small animal work can be a large or small component of your role, depending upon your interests. After-hours services are one night a week and 1 in 4 weekends, covering large animals only.

The practice is equipped with all the bells and whistles, including gastroscopes, multiple digital x-ray machines and ultrasounds, powerfloats, bull testing equipment and in-house haematology and biochemistry analysers. It operates from two sites and has a wide range of services and an interesting caseload, including a dedicated equine hospital/surgery. They have a highly skilled team that is passionate about providing high-quality care whilst maintaining a focus on work-life balance and fun in the workplace.

Remuneration is well above award and commensurate with experience. On offer is a 4 day work week, car and mobile phone. One week of study leave with CPD allowance is available for use each year.

The practice is located in rural Queensland, just a 2-hour drive to Brisbane. The area has excellent cafés, schools, medical, sporting and shopping facilities.
