A position is available for a new graduate veterinarian at an independently owned, multi-branch practice in Brisbane.

This position is to start in early 2025. This is a new graduate program but is intended to be an ongoing, permanent role.

Vetlink has received excellent feedback from multiple vets at this practice (current and former employees)!

Here's what they had to say:

- High standards of patient care

- Wonderful, supportive employer

- Experienced, collaborative team

- Good work-life balance

Comments from 2022 Queensland graduate who started at this practice in early 2023:

I have been very lucky to have started at a practice with such nice people and so much support. I never feel like I am under too much pressure. The senior vets are so willing to help and are very experienced. My employer is very approachable.

The practice is owned and managed by veterinarians and is built around two principles:

Firstly, they are a professional community - a collective of professionals who support and sustain each other.

Secondly, they seek to practice excellent veterinary science based on academic literature.

In 2021, the practice began an employment and training program intended specifically for graduate veterinarians. Two graduates filled those positions, and both have become wonderful veterinarians who have advanced their careers dramatically. A third graduate joined the team in 2023.

This Graduate Veterinarian (GV) program is built around encouraging intrinsic motivation in the GV by promoting and supporting the acquisition of competence, autonomy, and relatedness.

The successful applicant will be paid above the Award with significant opportunities for advancement, both within the practice and within the veterinary profession.

All vets at this practice have special interests. The level of development of this interest ranges from as little as a preferred discipline for clinical work all the way up to veterinarians with MS, PhD, MANZCVS, FANZCVS, American Diplomate and Specialist. The employer actively promotes and advances the special interest of every staff member.

The current interests across the team include Medicine, Surgery, ECC, Theriogenology, Ophthalmology, Advanced Generalist, Pathology, Geriatrics, Veterinary Mental Health, Anaesthesia, Pharmacology, Clin Pathology, Dentistry, Oncology, Imaging, Feline Medicine, Behaviour, Wellness, Neonatology, Small Mammals, Infectious Disease, Dermatology and Client Relationships.

The hospitals boast up-to-date equipment. There is ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, IM3 dental machine and Vetscan in-house.

The clinics are located in Brisbane, a vibrant and sunny city with easy access to both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. It is one of the fastest-growing capital cities in the world but remains uncomplicated and laid back. There are world-renowned beaches, plenty of entertainment options, and the area has a relaxed, sunny lifestyle.
