This growing clinic in West Gippsland has a current vacancy for a vet to join the team to help support the clinic’s growth and provide a high standard of care to companion and farm animals alike.

The caseload is approximately 60% small animal, 40% livestock, including 70% dairy, 20% beef and 10% hobby farm. The mix of work can be tailored to your particular interests.

The practice is looking for a new graduate who has a strong interest in mixed animal and production work. Ideally, you will have a solid foundation in handling livestock and a strong understanding of livestock husbandry. This role is suited to a positive person who is capable of working efficiently and conscientiously within a team environment.

The employers recognise that the transition to practice can be a challenging time. New graduate vets at this practice benefit from the clinic’s graduate development program, which includes monthly structured support and a mentor program.

This 10-vet team is very supportive and enjoys learning from each other. Working within a large team, good communication skills are a must! The ideal candidate will be a people-person, as the team strives to excel in client interactions and communication. The successful applicant will immediately fit in and feel at home in this happy workplace.

New graduates can expect a base salary of $75,000 per annum. The after-hours rota is one night per week plus 1 in 4 weekends. The practice has a tele-triage after-hours service to help filter after hours calls.
