Are you a dairy-focused vet looking to break the monotony of seasonal work? Or a mixed animal vet that loves the challenge that comes with rural practice?

Due to growth, an opportunity for a mixed practitioner has become available in the Southland region of New Zealand.

Both new graduates and experienced vets are welcome to apply.

The successful applicant will join a four-vet team, becoming the fifth vet at the practice.

Your new colleagues are friendly and supportive. They share a wealth of knowledge and many decades of experience between them.

This two-site practice is made up of the main clinic and a smaller branch. Their dairy farms are mostly owner/operator, they have a large number of sheep and beef properties ranging from finishing through to hill country, and to mix things up, there is the chance to work with a host of other species on the small animal side, including farm dogs. The employer encourages and supports growth in areas of special interest.

This position is full-time and includes a shared after-hours roster. There are no Saturday or Sunday clinics.

This practice is located in a rural town. The area is well known amongst country music fans and trout fishermen. It has a good range of shops and services, and is a fantastic playground if you are into the outdoors! There are national parks and ski fields to explore, with Queenstown just two hours drive away.
