An independent, mixed-practice in Northern Sydney requires a veterinarian to cover a period of maternity leave.
The position will ideally start in early May 2025 and work until the end of January 2026. There may be the potential for this to become a permanent position, if desired.
The practice sees roughly 60-65% small animals, 25-30% horses and 5-10% exotics & wildlife. Vets interested in either a mixed or 100% small animal role are encouraged to apply, as both can be accommodated.
The team are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who loves working in a team as vets and nurses regularly share knowledge and discuss cases.
The employer strongly values and protects work-life balance and is also very fortunate to have a loyal and respectful client base.
Perks of the role include:
– Commitment to supporting yearly continuing education through attendance at conferences, online webinars, etc.
– Travel allowance for practitioners who are involved in equine consultations
– The welfare of vets looked after and addressing poor client behaviour (when it rarely happens)
– Team dinners and opportunities to relax together (only if that is your thing!)
Feedback from staff during regular reviews and feedback sessions consistently focuses on a positive environment, ensuring that the team feel well-supported and listened to.
The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, IM3 dental, dental x-ray, an in-house laboratory, and a newly purchased ultrasound. The practice has strong relationships with referral clinics and specialists in small animal and equine departments, and the team engages mobile specialists to assist with cases.
The practice is surrounded by greenery and open space, located in a beautiful leafy suburb on Sydney’s outskirts, just 25km north of the CBD.
