A leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced small animal veterinarian at this practice.
You will be joining a close-knit team consisting of three vets, wonderful nurses and receptionists who regularly catch up outside of work. The team is quite active and enjoys living a full lifestyle. This fun, friendly social team are passionate about what they do. They believe in the best in patient care and excellence in veterinary science and customer service.
The practice ensures excellent veterinary services by utilising the highest standard of care and staying abreast of the most recent advancements in medicine for their furry, scaly, and feathered friends. The team are proud to work with rescue and rehoming groups.
The practice provides a range of services, including general surgery, dentals, radiology, ultrasound and referral options, a variety of soft tissue surgery such as soft palate/nares and anal gland resection, and a large variety of orthopaedic surgeries such as TTAs, FHO, patella and fracture repair. They have separate dog, cat and isolation wards, theatre, digital x-ray, dental and prep area, and a recovery area.
The clinic is open weekdays and a half day on Saturday, with on-call on a rotating roster.
As the Lead Veterinarian, you will play a pivotal role in the team, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to your colleagues.

The employers are seeking an experienced vet with a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for veterinary care. To be successful in this position, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia. You will also have demonstrated leadership skills and/or experience in managing teams. Strong surgical and medical skills will be highly regarded. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and build strong rapport with clients.
