Are you currently in a head nurse role, OR are you an experienced, qualified nurse looking to take the next step in your career?

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced veterinary nurse to join and lead the nursing team at an independently owned, family-run clinic on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

The role will include:

– General management of the nursing team

– Organising rosters

– Drug ordering

– Animal restraint

– Intravenous catheter placement

– Blood sampling

– Surgical nursing, including monitoring of patients under general anaesthesia as well as pre-op/post-op care.

– Medical nursing of patients, including IVFT, medication administration, vital signs monitoring and general husbandry.

– Running pathology samples on in-house IDEXX pathology machines

– Performing dental radiographs and scales and polishes.

– Reception duties, including taking phone calls, answering enquiries and creating appointments.

Applicants should have their Certificate IV (or equivalent).

Remuneration is well above award and commensurate with experience.

Equipment at the practice includes digital x-ray, dental machine and x-ray, IDEXX laboratory, ultrasound and more. The practice is computerised with RxWorks. Prior experience with RX Works would be an advantage.
