A vet with a minimum of two years of experience is required to work in a family-owned practice offering gold-standard veterinary care and excellent customer service.
You will work with highly competent vets and experienced veterinary nurses, the majority of whom have been with the practice for many years.
The practice is busy and has an interesting caseload, with a minimum of two vets rostered on most of the time. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and become part of the team.
TPLOs, TTAs, and more complicated surgeries are performed in-house. (The successful applicant will not be required to perform orthopaedic surgery.)
Weekend work is on a three-week rotational basis: one weekend off, one weekend with Saturday morning from 9 to 12, and one weekend with both Saturday and Sunday shifts. You will have one weekday off each week.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The practice has become a well-respected and valuable part of the local community.
