An exciting opportunity has become available for a veterinarian with an interest in emergency and critical care to join a large, multi-vet, 24-hour practice in Perth.
The hospital is well equipped with a full laboratory, an ultrasound machine, digital radiography, two surgeries, excellent nurses, and a team of daytime veterinarians and nurses to continue patient care 24/7.
The practice has an advanced surgery section for fracture repair and TPLO procedures.
Candidates holding a postgraduate certificate or memberships in emergency and critical care or intending to complete either of these qualifications would be highly desirable.
Continuing veterinary education will be well supported and encouraged.
Remuneration:
– $60 to $80 per hour, depending on the level of skill and experience.
– $700 to $750 for overnight nights with an additional commission of 50% of the professional fees after midnight.
– Higher hourly rate paid for public holidays.
Shifts are scheduled in the evenings from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm, 6.30 pm to 8.00 am (commissions payable), and on public holiday days from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The employer will assist with accommodation.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The hospital is located in Perth, close to some of WA’s most pristine beaches, affordable housing and a variety of good schools.
