LOCATION: Regional Victoria

TYPE OF WORK: 100% Small Animal

JOB NO: 214,709SS

Are you looking for a job that offers the benefits of living in a major regional centre? No commute, affordable living and a fantastic lifestyle plus a four-day week!

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced GP vet with a keen interest in surgery to join one of Regional Victoria’s premier clinics.

The ideal applicant will have orthopaedic experience or be keen to develop their skills in this area. Extensive support and mentoring is available for this purpose.

The position would suit a bright, energetic and eager veterinarian. Applicants should be committed to excellence in animal and client care while possessing high attention to detail. Candidates should also be dedicated to lifelong learning.

The practice offers an interesting and diverse caseload. No two days will be the same. The practice sees exotics, orthopaedics, emergency medicine and only refers if absolutely necessary.

The successful applicant will work in a multi-vet team of experienced veterinarians sharing a wealth of experience and knowledge in various areas of special interest. A good fit within the team is important to the practice.

The staff at the practice pride themselves on providing an environment that encourages quality and excellence in all that they do. They are driven by high-quality veterinary care, not by KPI’s.

They ensure a high level of support, ongoing education and exposure to their wide and varied caseload that would not be seen within metropolitan areas.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice offers a generous base salary plus after hours, paid AVA membership, an annual CPD allowance, commitment to continued professional development, a highly supportive environment, along with the chance to work in a modern, fully-equipped hospital.
