A privately owned practice in beautiful northern Tasmania has an exceptional new graduate opportunity.

If you would like to work in a busy and vibrant practice that encourages continuous learning and growth, this might be the role for you!

Past employees rave about how supportive this practice is.

Work alongside 8-9 experienced vets supported by a great team of vet nurses. One of the current vets has memberships in surgery; other vets have special interests in behaviour and medicine.

You'll see a varied small animal caseload, including unique Tasmanian wildlife.

The ideal candidate should be compassionate, motivated and be able to work well within the team.

The clinic has the latest equipment, including dental x-ray and Vetquip Dental Unit, DR digital x-ray, blood pressure monitor, tonopen, ECG, spO2 and microscopes. There is also a brand new MyLab Ultrasound, making it perfect for vets with an interest in imaging.

As well as having great equipment, the employers at this practice value non-tangible things. They are a Lincoln Institute clinic, and all the vets participate in the Lincoln Leading Edge Course. This course helps vets achieve better success inside and outside the clinic and a happier and more fulfilling career.

Continuing education is highly valued and supported. You'll receive paid CVE and VIN memberships and paid study leave in addition to your four weeks of annual leave.

After-hours calls are screened to ensure vets are only interrupted if it is an emergency (which has significantly reduced their call-outs). The after-hours roster is approx. 1-2 in 14 weeknights and 1 in 4 weekends on call.

Work visa support is available for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must be eligible to register with the Veterinary Board of Tasmania.

You'll be based within a beautiful city with no shortage of things to do in your downtime. There are cafes with great coffee, parks and rivers, amazing restaurants and an active nightlife nearby. Snow, lakes, beaches and mountains are all within an hour's drive. Northern Tasmania is a beautiful place to live and work.
