A mixed practice in New Zealand's North Island is looking for a companion animal veterinarian to join their enthusiastic team.

Special interests are encouraged, and a generous CPD allowance is included. Someone with an interest in upskilling in orthopaedics would be ideal.

The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, caring and a team player.

The clinic is modern and well-equipped with consulting rooms, well-stocked pharmacies, sterile surgical suite's, x-ray and ultrasound capabilities, and closely supervised hospitalisation areas.

The area is known for its wineries and surf beaches, combining its semi-rural charm with an amazing coastline. It is the perfect place to allow you to choose whether you would like to be a city dweller or enjoy rural life!

I think a vet who would be suited needs to be fast-paced, adaptable, have quite good surgical skills, enjoy a rural environment and be open-minded to learn new stuff. There is the opportunity to do some large animal work if one wanted to. I like working with horses, so I absolutely can do a horse call if I want to. Really, it's a GREAT place to work.
