Would you like pristine beaches and sparkling waterways on your doorstep? A daily swim, walk, surf, or kayak before or after work?

Seeking a fulfilling role with an employer that places focus on work-life balance, staff well-being and professional development?

Perhaps you would like to work alongside a supportive team who have your back while enjoying an interesting, varied mixed practice caseload with minimal after-hours and lots of time off?

Keep reading if so…

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time veterinarian to join a large team at a mixed practice on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.

The practice is looking for a confident veterinarian, ideally with a minimum of 2 years' practical experience and the ability to handle a mixed caseload of medical and surgical cases. Experience with large animals is essential. The practice sees about 30% large animals, but the successful candidate can choose to do more or less large animal work depending on their interest.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic and have a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. They will have excellent communication and client relationship-building skills. They will be flexible, adaptable, and have a positive 'can do' attitude along with the ability to work autonomously and in a team.

This position will see you working alongside a multi-vet team and a large team of well-trained nurses, and a dedicated practice manager who all strive to provide excellent veterinary care.

The current clinics (three) are very well-equipped with digital x-ray, multiple ultrasound machines (one with a cardiac probe), a comprehensive range of orthopaedic gear for TPLO's, platings and external fixtures, in-house laboratory, tonometer, rectal ultrasounds, portable horse crush/trailer, a full kit of equine dentistry tools, power float and a new CT scanner!

On offer is an interesting and diverse caseload, with very little referred, a supportive and friendly work environment with a good work/life balance and a generous remuneration package (depending on experience) including five weeks annual leave and relocation assistance. Special interests are strongly supported with a continuing education allowance and one week study leave.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is located on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, in one of Australia's most desired holiday destinations. The area is great for families with a number of schools, shopping centres, and several beaches, rivers and national parks! Only a short drive away is the lush hinterland with world heritage national parks and rainforest. Here you can hike, camp or just spend a day swimming and relaxing by a waterfall.
