A rapidly growing, family-owned practice in Melbourne’s inner northwest is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join their supportive and collaborative team.
The clinic prides itself on providing a pleasant and cohesive working environment, where everyone works together to achieve the best outcomes for their patients. The team currently includes 3.5 full-time equivalent vets and 6 experienced vet nurses.
The position is ideally full-time, but part-time applicants will also be considered. Full-time vets at the practice work four days per week, with clinic hours from 8:30 am to 7 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. The role includes every second Saturday and a consistent RDO off each week.
This role would suit a confident all-rounder with a minimum of 3 years of experience. However, excellent support can be provided to applicants with less experience.
Special interests are welcomed, and the practice has opportunities to progress into a leadership role. While the clinic currently performs soft-tissue surgery only, there is scope for orthopaedics if desired.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality medical and surgical care, and have excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues. A veterinary degree registrable in Victoria is required.
The clinic is well equipped with digital DR radiography, Idexx ProCyte haematology analyser, Catalyst One chemistry analyser, IM3 dental unit, intraoral radiography, ultrasound, patient warming, intraoperative SPO2, temperature, ECG and NIBP monitoring, Apalerts, Tonopen, indirect lens, and more.
Facilities include two large consulting rooms, a dedicated surgical suite with a heated surgical table, and ongoing renovations to create a new, purpose-built hospital.
Located in Melbourne’s northwest, the area offers easy access to the CBD via major freeways and is well-served by parks, schools, and shopping centres, making it a great place for families and professionals alike.
