The staff at this practice believe that veterinary care isn’t just about treating animals – it’s about fostering meaningful connections with your team and clients and creating a welcoming environment where both pets and their owners feel valued and cared for.

The practice is looking for a passionate veterinarian who shares their commitment to strengthening the human-animal bond and providing gentle, quality care to our furry friends. Whether you’re a recent graduate eager to embark on your veterinary career journey or an experienced vet seeking a new opportunity, they would love to welcome you as part of their team.

The role is perfect for you if you are:

– A people person! This practice loves the owners, not just their pets

– Someone with a growth mindset and who wants to be part of building an amazing practice

– Well-practised in having fun at work!

– You must be a qualified veterinarian who has a qualification that allows you to register with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria

The basic perks of the job include:

– The flexibility to work part-time (27-30 hours/week) or full-time with no after-hours.

– Clients who understand the clinic’s mission to deliver what is best for their pets

– A supportive nursing team

– Investment in you to support further learning in all different areas

– The employer will happily pay you well for the value you bring

– Relocation assistance provided

Clinic opening hours are 8 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. There is no after-hours work, and the practice is closed on Sundays.

Full-time employment consists of four days per week plus every second Saturday.

This is a 2-vet, 3-nurse practice with three dedicated receptionists.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is well-equipped with full in-house IDEXX pathology (including automated urine sediment analyser), new ultrasound facilities, whole body and dental computed radiography, IM3 dental suite, digital tonometry, and modern surgical and anaesthetic facilities. The clinic is computerised with Bee Free software.

The practice is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It is an easy drive to enjoy the beach, the Dandenong Ranges or the Mornington Peninsula for a lazy Sunday lunch.
